NAGPAPASALAMAT si Karen Gillan na kasama pa rin siya sa Guardians of the Galaxy franchise dahil ang kanyang kontrabidang karakter na si Nebula ay pinatay sa original script ng unang pelikula.
Muling ginampanan ng Scottish star ang kanyang papel bilang masamang alien sa bagong sequel ng blockbuster, ngunit hindi na sana siya kasama sa Marvel gig kung hindi binago ng screenwriters ang orihinal na takbo ng istorya na ipinalabas noong 2014.
“There was a point where Nebula actually died in the first movie,” sabi ng aktres sa ScreenCrush.com. “I thought, ‘OK, so that’s going to be it for her,’ at one point. Then suddenly they rewrote her ending - and then they rewrote it again, and I was like, ‘Oh, OK. What’s going on?’”

Kaya si Nebula, kapatid ni Gamora na ginagampanan ni Zoe Saldana, ay pinanatiling buhay at binigyan ng malaking papel sa follow-up, ang Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Ayon pa kay Karen, “I was really shocked when I got to come back as part of the team in the next movie. That was amazing! I definitely didn’t expect that.”
Sabik ang dating bituin ng Doctor Who na palawakin pa ang istorya ni Nebula na posibleng magkaroon ng spin-off movie.
Nang hingan ng opinyon tungkol sa ideya, ang napangiting sabi niya: “I mean, that would be amazing, that would be the dream. We’ve never spoken about it though - maybe I’ll casually bring it up... (sa filmmaker na si James Gunn).”
Kamakailan ay ipinahayag ni James na magbabalik siya para isulat at idirehe ang ikatlong pelikula ng Guardians of the Galaxy universe.
“My love for (characters) Rocket, Groot, Gamora, Star-Lord, Yondu, Mantis, Drax, and Nebula - and some of the other forthcoming heroes - goes deeper than you guys can possibly imagine,” paliwanag niya sa isang post sa Facebook.
