Mas gusto ng dating sparring partner ni eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao na Amerikanong si dating IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter na magretiro na lamang ang Pilipino kaysa lumaban kay two-time world titlist Amir Khan ng United Kingdom.

Para kay Porter na lalabanan sa Abril 22 si two-time world welterweight champion Andre Berto ng Haiti sa Brooklyn, New York, mapanganib na kalaban para kay Pacquiao si Khan.

"I heard the fight was canceled but if that fight happens I think it would be a good fight," sabi ni Porter. Sa BoxingScene.com. "Amir has what it takes to beat anyone. He has the speed and the range. It's just a matter of him not getting caught."

Para kay Porter, wala nang dapat patunayan si Pacquiao na tiyak kaagad mailuluklok sa Hall of Fame ng professional boxing kaya dapat nang magretiro.

Goodbye PBA? John Amores, tinanggalan na ng professional license!

"I don't know who wins (a Pacquiao-Khan fight). Honesty, I thought Manny was done [when he retired last April]. I would like Manny to be done, I really would," dagdag ni Porter na natalo lamang sa puntos kina Briton Kell Brook na umagaw sa kanyang IBF title at sa kababayang si WBA welterweight titlist Keith Thurman.

Kung magwawagi laban kay Berto, magiging mandatory challenger si Porter kay Thurman na hawak na rin ngayon ang WBC title matapos talunin kamakailan ang kababayang si Danny Garcia. (Gilbert Espeña)
