Ipinasa ng Kamara sa pangatlo at huling pagbasa ang panukalang nagdedeklara sa Abril 5 ng bawat taon bilang pista opisyal o special non-working holiday sa Pangasinan, na tatawaging “Pangasinan Day.”
Inaprubahan ang House Bill 6345, na inakda ni Pangasinan 2nd District Rep. Leopoldo N. Bataoil bago nag-adjourn ang Kongreso, kamakailan.
“The declaration of April 5 as a special non-working holiday in our province to be known as ‘Pangasinan Day’ will give full opportunity to the residents to commemorate and celebrate the historic event of its foundation. Several commemorative events will then be held,” ani Bataoil. (Bert de Guzman)
