Pinayagan ng Sandiganbayan na makapagpiyansa si dating Philippine National Police (PNP) Director Geary Barias kaugnay sa pagkakadawit nito sa maanomalyang pagpapakumpini sa mga armored vehicle ng pulisya noong 2007.
Inaprubahan ng korte noong Marso 7 ang motion for reconsideration ni Barias para makapaglagak ng P200,000 piyansa sa bawat bilang ng kinakaharap nitong two counts of malversation through falsification of public documents.
“The Supreme Court has recently ruled that the complex crime of malversation through falsification of public documents must now be considered a bailable offense without undergoing bail petition proceedings,” ayon sa korte.
