Nakiisa ang Malacañang sa panawagan ni Pope Francis ng kapayapaan at seguridad sa pamamagitan ng dialogue at tolerance kasunod ng pagpaslang ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) sa 9 na sibilyan sa Mindanao sa bisperas ng Pasko.
“We affirm the call made by His Holiness Pope Francis for peace and security through dialogue and tolerance in the aftermath of the senseless killing of innocent civilians in attacks claimed by the BIFF,” sabi ni Presidential Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma, Jr.
Tiniyak din ng opisyal ng Palasyo na dinodoble ng law enforcement agencies ang kanilang mga pagsisikap para protektahan ang mamamayan laban sa mga pag-atake.
“Government troops are conducting intensive operations to protect the citizens from such attacks,” ani Coloma.
