Ibinigay ng Department of Science and Technology ang life-and-death advice na ito sa paglunsad noong Biyernes ng bagong platform ng kanyang Project NOAH (Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards).
“The areas colored red, orange, or yellow are the hazardous areas; these are the places which you should avoid in case there is imminent danger,” sabi ni Dr. Mahar Lagmay, executive director ng DOST-Project NOAH, ang itinuturing na primary disaster risk reduction and management program ng bansa, sa University of the Philippines sa Diliman, Quezon City.
Sa media briefing, inihayag ni Lagmay ang pagkumpleto sa iba’t ibang hazard map, kabilang na ang mga detalyadong hazard map para sa barangay-level flood, storm surge para sa lahat ng coastal municipalities, landslide, at debris flow hazard map, ang bagong idinagdag sa serbisyo.

Kahit na hindi gaanong pamilyar ang maraming Pilipino, ang debris flow ay kasing mapanganib, diin ng NOAH.
