Bumaba sa 3.9% ang mga walang trabaho sa bansa nitong Oktubre 2024 mula sa 4.2% na naitala sa parehong buwan noong nakaraang taon, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) nitong Biyernes, Disyembre 6.
Sa ulat ng PSA, tinatayang 1.97 milyong indibidwal ang mga walang trabaho sa bansa nitong Oktubre 2024, mas mababa kumpara sa 2.09 milyong bilang ng mga walang trabaho noong Oktubre 2023.
Mas mababa rin ang nasabing datos nitong Oktubre kumpara sa naitala noong Hulyo 2024 na 2.38 milyong indibidwal.
Ayon pa sa PSA, 96.1% ang naitalang employment rate sa bansa nitong Oktubre 2024, mas mataas kumpara sa employment noong Oktubre 2023 na 95.8% at maging nong Hulyo 2024 na 95.3%.
“In terms of levels, the number of employed persons in October 2024 was recorded at 48.16 million. This was higher than the number of employed persons of 47.79 million in October 2023 and in July 2024 at 47.70 million,” anang PSA.
Samantala, nasa 63.3% naman ang naitalang labor force participation rate (LFPR) nitong Oktubre 2024, kung saan mas mababa ito kumpara sa naitala noong Oktubre 2023 na 63.9% at noong Hulyo 2024 na 63.5%.
“The reported LFPR in October 2024 translates to a total of 50.12 million Filipinos aged 15 years old and over who were in the labor force, or those who were either employed or unemployed. The number of individuals aged 15 years old and over who were in the labor force was 49.88 million in October 2023 and 50.07 million in July 2024,” saad pa ng PSA.
