Pinaalalahanan ng Social Security System (SSS) ang mga miyembro at employer nito na protektahan ang kanilang personal na impormasyon at maging mapagbantay laban sa mga fixer at scammers kasunod ng dumaraming ulat sa mga insidente ng pandaraya.
Sa isang pahayag, binalaan ni SSS President at Chief Executive Officer Aurora C. Ignacio ang mga miyembro at empleyado na iwasang ibahagi ang kanilang SS Number, My.SSS login credentials, at iba pang personal na impormasyon sa mga indibidwal na nagsasabing sila ay empleyado ng SSS.
“We are deeply concerned with the increasing number of fraud victims who are mostly our members. That’s why we constantly remind them not to patronize these individuals,” ani Ignacio.
Pinaalalahanan pa ni Ignacio ang publiko laban sa pagsali sa mga Facebook group na nag-aalok ng tulong sa iba't ibang online transactions nang may bayad at pinaalalahanan ang publiko na ang SSS ay nag-aalok ng mga libreng serbisyo at hindi naniningil sa mga miyembro nito maliban sa pagpapalit ng Unified Multipurpose ID Card (UMID).

Dagdag niya pa, “These groups are considered illegal and unauthorized as they could be data mining accounts used to extract an individual’s personal information.”
“We also reiterate that SSS shall not be held accountable for any transactions once the member is found to have connived with the fixer. This act is considered a violation R.A. No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 as well as R.A. 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018. Hence, we strongly advise our members to coordinate with legitimate SSS branch personnel only,” pagpupunto ni Ignacio.
Bilang bahagi ng mga hakbangin ng SSS para sugpuin ang mga ilegal na aktibidad, ang mga post at account sa social media ay tinanggal sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group.
“This is an ongoing operation since these accounts are evident in social media accounts. Sending your complaints will provide notable information which will help the authorities to track them. Rest assured that the SSS shall penalize these fixers/scammers to protect the interests of our members and employers,’ dagdag ni Ignacio.
Samantala, hinimok ng SSS ang mga concerned citizen at biktima na i-report ang mga fixer/scammer sa Special Investigation Department (SID) sa pamamagitan ng email [email protected] at telephone number (02) 8924-7370.
