ISASAGAWA ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang Sports Journalism sa Abril 24-26 sa Davao Christian High School kasabay ng pag-usad ng 2019 Palarong Pambansa sa nasabing lungsod.
Mahigit sa 200 student journalist buhat sa mga Campus newspapers ang inaasahang makikibahagi sa tatlong araw na proyektong ito ng PSC.
Tatalakayin ng beteranong sportswriter at ngayon ay Sports Editor ng Ripples Daily na si Randy Caluag ang tungkol sa sports journalism ethics, at responsableng pagbabahagi ng impormasyon sa social media katuwang si Sunstar Davao editor Marianne Soberon- Abalayan.
Samantala, mismong sina PSC Chairman William Ramirez, PSC Commissioners Celia Kiram at Charles Maxey kasama ang Undersecretary ng Department of Education na si Revsee Escobedo ang siyang magpapasinaya ng opening ceremonies ng nasabing multi-sports event sa Abril 24.
“The PSC is continuing its Sports Journalism seminar which was launched in February last year, to partner with our young journalists in spreading ethical and responsible journalism, and ultimately promote positivity in sports,” pahayag ni Ramirez.
"We are driven to support not only our athletes, but also our future media practitioners in the field of sports,” dagdag pa ni Ramirez.
