Sports Center, pasilidad sa Clark abot sa SEA Games
Mimosa Clark Pampanga---Siniguro ng Bases Convension and Development Authority (BCDA) na matatapos sa Agosto ngayong taon ang ginagawang New Clark City Sports Complex para gawing main hub ng nalalapit na hosting ng bansa sa 30th Southeast Asian Games ngayong Nobyembre.
Ito ang inihayag ni MTD Philippines President Engr. Patrick Nicholas David na siyang katuwang ng (BCDA).
“The construction is ahead of schedule,” pahayag ni David. “We already hit 53 percent completion mark with 5.3 million man-hours without any serious accidents,” aniya.
Ang nasabing sports facilities ay bahagi ng Phase 1A ng New Clark City National Government Administrative Center (NGAC) na may pasilidad na 20,000-seater Athletics, 2000seater Aquatics Center at ang Athletes Village, bukod pa sa 1.4 kilometer river park development na may kasamang bikeways at jogging paths.
“These will be the first major sports facilitiessince the Rizal memorial Sports Complex built more than eight decades ago or in 1934. It’s about time that our hardworking national athletes are given access to the world-class facilities,” pahayag naman ni Philippine Sea Games organizing committee (PHISGOC) Deputy Director General /Mayor of Athletes’ Village and Security Services Arrey Perez.
Siniguro rin ni Perez na handang handa ang lahat para sa pagsasagawa ng SEA Games sa bansa, kung saan 56 sports ang lalaruin ng 11 bansa.
