SA unang pagkakataon sa isang international pageant, maglalaban ang kambal na kinatawan ng Albania at Kosovo para sa korona ng Miss Intercontinental pageant na idaraos sa bansa.

Kambal sina Miss Albania Arvanita Peci at Miss Kosovo Arjanita Peci, na nagpaliwanag kung paano sila naging kinatawan ng dalawang magkaibang bansa sa 47th Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant, na gaganapin sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City sa Enero 26.

Sa kanyang maikling introduction, sinabi ni Arvanita: “My name is Arvanita and I am 20 years old. I was born in Kosovo and now I am living in Germany. Currently, I work as a banker. On my day off, I like to dance and to swim. Besides, I also love to travel and to see other places of the world;

“My brother was the person who registered me for the first Miss election, so everything started in my home city. Now it is a great honor for me to represent my country Albania at Miss Intercontinental because I am very proud to be an Albanian.”

“Moreover, it is very special for me because my twin sister is also one of the contestants. She will represent Kosovo. So I am really happy and excited to meet all the beautiful girls and to make such an amazing experience in my life,” paliwanag ni Miss Albania.

Samantala, sinabi naman ni Arjanita na: “My name is Arjanita Peci and I am 20 years old. I was born 1998 in Kosovo. In this year my family have to leave our country because of the war. At that time I was only one month old. It was a hard year for my family because we had to start from zero. Today we are living in Germany. I am working as a judicial clerk. I help people to fight for their rights. In my free time, I like to read and to dance. Furthermore, I love to travel and to discover new cultures and countries. I am very happy and proud to be Miss Intercontinental Kosovo and to represent my country in Manila.”

“It’s very special for me because my twin sister will also take part at Miss Intercontinental. She is Miss Intercontinental Albania. Everything started when my Brother registered me and my twin sister Arvanita at the first Miss election in our home city. Now we are very happy for his great idea and so we look forward to what is coming,” pahayag naman ni Miss Kosovo.

Mahigit 85 kandidata ang magpapatalbugan sa Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant ngayong taon. Sa idinaos na press presentation sa Sofitel nitong Huwebes, nagwagi ang pambato ng Pilipinas na si Karen Gallman ng dalawang special awards: ang Media’s Choice at Standout Beauty mula sa H&H na ipinrisinta ng may-ari nito na si former Mr. Gay World Philippines Wilbert Tolentino.
