BAGUIO CITY – Nakopo ng Manila Southwoods ang kampeonato sa Fil-Am Invitational Golf Tournament tangan ang 56 puntos na bentahe nitong Sabado.

Hataw ang Carmona, Cavite parbusters sa naiskor na 147 sa final day ng kompetisyon sa Camp John Hay at Baguio Country Club para sa kabuuang 562 sa loob ng apat na round.

Nanguna si Yuto Katsuragawa sa Manila Southwoods sa naiskor na four under 65 katumbas ng 40 puntos. Tinampukan ng 20-anyos mula sa Nihon University ang laro sa kahanga-hangang 13 foot putt eagle sa par 5 16th hole – ikalawa sa torneo. Kumana rin siya ng tatlong birdies.

“Lanz is definitely moving up to the Fil championship but for the rest, we still have to look at the whole year performance of the players because that will be the basis for categorizing the players,” aniya.

“We are happy with the double win, it does not matter if it is a big or small margin, the important thing is we won,” pahayag ni Southwoods golf manager Jerome Delariarte.

“It will also give them a big confidence, that is the young ones played and won,” aniya.
