INIHAYAG ng Singaporean promoter ni IBO bantamweight champion Michael Dasmariñas na si Scott Patrick O’Farrell ng Ringstar Boxing na kakasa ang Pinoy boxer sa beteranong si dating world champion na si Alexander Munoz ng Venezuela sa Setyembre 29 sa isang non-title bout sa Singapore.
Natamo ni Dasmarinas ang bakanteng IBO title nang patulugin niya sa 4thround si European bantamweight champion Karim Guerfi ng France noong nakaraang Mayo 25 sa Singapore.
“Fantastic. I am happy to have played a part in Michael’s rise to success. Michael Dasmariñas next fight is against Venezuelan Alexander Muñoz, a former world champion,” sabi ni O’ Farrel sa Philboxing.com. “The non-title fight will be on September 29 here in Singapore. After that, Michael will be defending his IBO world-title later this year or in early 2019, possibly in Manila, Philippines.”
Nais ding isabak ni O’ Farrell si Dasmarinas sa World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) kasama ang mga kampeon ng WBC, WBA, IBF at WBO.

May rekord si Dasmarinas na 28 panalo, 2 talo na may 19 pagwawagi sa knockouts samantalang si Munoz na matagal naging WBA super flyweight champion ay may kartadang 40 panalo, 7 talo na may 31 pagwawagi sa knockouts.
