MULING kakasa si two-time world title challenger Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta sa pagtataguyod ng Golden Boy Boxing laban sa Mexican American na si Roberto “Tito” Manzanarez para sa bakanteng WBO NABO lightweight crown sa Hunyo 14 sa Fantasy Springs Resort Casino sa Indio, California sa United States.

Ito ang unang laban ni Gesta mula nang matalo sa puntos kay dating WBA, WBC Diamond at Ring Magazine lightweight champion Jorge “El Niño de Oro” Linares ng Venezuela noong nakaraang Enero 27 sa The Forum, Inglewood, California.

“I can’t wait to get back into the ring and put on a great show against Roberto Manzanarez,” sabi ni Gesta sa Philboxing.com. “Roberto is a young, tall, talented, and a hungry fighter with an outstanding fight record. I’ve been training hard with my dad, my team, and Coach Freddie Roach, and come June 14, Robert and I will give the boxing fans a great fight!”

Bagama’t ipinanganak sa US, marami sa mga laban ni Manzanarez ay ginanap sa Mexico at nagmarka siya nang talunin si dating world champion Gamaliel “El Platano” Diaz at dating world title contender Hector “Charro Negro” Gonzalez.

“This fight is very important for me,” sabi ni Manzanarez. “All fights are important, but this one is the most important one because winning this fight will earn me more opportunities. I’m working on everything in the gym. I know the style of Mercito Gesta and I know that he’s fast. But I’m working very hard to win this fight.”

May rekord si Gesta na 31-2-2 na may 17 pagwawagi sa knockouts kumpara kay Manzanares na may kartadang 36 panalo, 1 talo na may 29 pagwawagi sa knockouts.
