OTTAWA (AFP) – Ipinahayag ng Canada at United States nitong Martes na magdadaos sila ng summit ng foreign ministers sa Vancouver sa Enero 16, kasama ang mga envoy ng Japan at South Korea, upang maghanap ng solusyon sa North Korean nuclear crisis.
‘’We believe a diplomatic solution to the crisis is essential and possible,’’ sabi ni Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland sa joint press conference kasama ang nagbibisitang si US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
Sinabi ni Tillerson na layunin ng pagpupulong na lalo pang paigtingin ang pressure sa North Korea na makipagnegosasyon para itiklop ang nuclear program nito.
‘’We (will) continue to find ways to advance the pressure campaign against North Korea,’’ ani Tillerson, ‘’to send North Korea a unified message from the international community that we will not accept you as... a nuclear weapons nation.’’
