Patuloy na tinututukan ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE),Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), mga Embahada ng Pilipinas at Philippine Overseas Labor Offices sa Middle East ang sitwasyon sa Qatar.
Nilinaw ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas na malayang makabalik sa Qatar ang mga Pilipinong dati nang nagtatrabaho roon o mayroong urgent business subalit kailangan ang ibayong pag-iingat.
“ The government renews its call for our Kababayans in the region to exercise prudence given the events of the past days and reiterates its readiness to provide all necessary assistance as it remains committed to safeguarding the welfare of overseas Filipinos in the region,” pahayag ng DFA.
Ayon dito, patuloy ang pamahalaan sa pagpoproseso ng mga dokumento para sa pagtatrabaho sa Qatar. Gayunman ang mga newly-hire o bagong natanggap sa trabaho na nandito pa sa Pilipinas ay saklaw ng “temporary moratorium on deployment” habang inaalam pa ang sitwasyon doon. (Bella Gamotea)
