Ipagkakaloob ng Philippine Army (PA) ang Military Achievement medal kay Senator at WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao bilang pagkilala sa kanyang husay at galing nang gapiin si Jessie Vargas nitong Linggo sa Las Vegas.
Ayon kay Col. Benjamin Hao, tagapagsalita ng Army, pangungunahan ni Philippine Army chief Lt. Gen. Eduardo Año, ang pagbibigay ng parangal sa 37-anyos na si Pacquiao na aniya’y malaki ang naiambag sa pagpapataas ng morale ng Army troopers.
"According to the CGPA, the highest award that we can give is the military achievement medal," pahayag ni Hao.

"The CGPA wants to give him an award for his... his accomplishments that help raise the moral of our troops and bring prestige to the Philippine Army being a reservist," aniya.
"There will be a parade, he will be given honors then we go directly to the ceremony.”
