Ayon kay Balanga Bishop Ruperto C. Santos, chairman ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines – Episcopal Commission on the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People (CBCP-ECMI), ang educational assistance ay igagawad hanggang makatapos sa kolehiyo ang mga iskolar.

“The Church promises to look after the welfare and help ensure that the children of the returning OFWs continue their schooling. The CBCP- ECMI as well as Diocesan Catholic Schools will set up a scholarship program for this purpose,” ayon kay Santos.

“The Church also continues to provide our OFWs and their families with spiritual formation and counselling until they get over their situation,” dagdag pa nito.

(Christina I. Hermoso)
