Makikisalo sa eksena ng elite triathlete ang mga future stars sa pagsalang ng Alaska IronKids Triathlon II sa Agosto 6, sa Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa sa Cebu City.
May kabuuang 400 kabataan na nasa edad 6-14 ang nagpatala para sa event na hinati sa apat na dibisyon at idaraos kasabay ng Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championship.
Dinomina ng mga Borlain na sina Sam, Tara at Francesca ang kani- kanilang age divisions sa nakaraang Alaska Ironkids race series at muli silang sasabak ngayon sa event na idaraos upang bigyan ng gabay ang mga kabataan kung paano magkaroon ng aktibo, positibo at malusog na pamumuhay kasabay ng pag develop ng kanilang disiplina, pagiging masigasig at determinasyon.
Samantala, lahat ng mga nanalo sa Alaska Ironkids events na idinaos sa Manila at Subic ay binigyan ng free entry sa Cebu Ironkids bukod pa sa libreng flights at accommodation kasama ng kanilang mga magulang .
“Over the past years, we have seen the continuous increase in participation in the Alaska IronKids race series and we are happy and proud that Alaska Milk contributes not only to the growth of triathlon but more significantly to the development of future real-life champions,” ayon kay Alaska Milk Corp. vice president for marketing Blen Fernando.
“Sharing the stage with the Ironman 70.3 As-Pac is a wonderful opportunity for our aspiring young athletes to showcase their talent and hard work on race day,” pahayag naman ni tournament director Annie de Leon Brown.
Kabilang sa mga event na paglalabanan ay ang 6-8, 9-10, 11-12 at 13-14 years old categories.
