MEMPHIS, Tennessee (AP) — Patuloy ang paglilinis bahay ng Memphis Grizzlies.
Ipinahayag ng team management nitong Sabado (Linggo sa Manila) ang pagsibak kay coach Dave Joerger matapos ang tatlong season na nagresulta ng tatlong sunod na pagsampa sa playoff.
Nagtapos ang Grizzlies ngayong season na may 42-40 karta at winalis ng San Antonio Spurs sa first round ng playoff.

“After careful consideration, I concluded that a change was needed to foster the strong culture required to achieve sustainable, long-term success for this organization, the city and our fans,” pahayag ni general manager Chris Wallace.
Bunsod ng samut-saring problema dulot ng injuries, naitala ng Menphis ang NBA-record 28 player na pinalaro ngayong season. Hindi na nakalaro sa playoff si center Marc Gasol bunsod ng pinsala sa kanang paa, habang nagtamo ng Achilles tendinitis si star guard Mike Conneley. Pinaglaro ng Memphis ang 11 player sa 10-day contract bago ang playoff.
“This season has been hard, it’s been really hard,” sambit ni Joerger. “They could’ve quit, could’ve not made the playoffs and every day they came out and fought like crazy.”
Ang Memphis ang ikapaat na NBA team na walang coach sa kasalukuyan bukod sa New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings at Indiana Pacers.
