Matapos ulanin ng batikos mula sa mga kolektor ng vintage car, itinigil ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang pagpapatupad ng Administrative Order No. RPC-2016-033, o Registration and/or Recording of Vintage Motor Vehicles, na orihinal na ipatutupad sa Abril 17, 2016.

“In consideration of the statements and opinion of those affected, especially the vintage car owners, the LTO and Department of Transportation and Communication (DoTC) have decided to recall the publication of the AO on vintage cars while pursuing consultations with different auto groups,” pahayag ni LTO Spokesperson Jason Salvador.

Aniya, nais muna ng LTO na pag-aralan ang naturang hakbangin at bigyan ng konsiderasyon ang publiko bago ito ipatupad.

Nakasaad sa kautusan: “A motor vehicle manufactured at least 40 years prior to the current year, or with year model earlier than 1975 should be registered with the LTO before it is allowed to operate on public roads.”
