Sinuspinde kahapon ang klase at trabaho sa Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) sa Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City matapos makatanggap ng bomb threat ang isang kawani ng unibersidad mula sa hindi kilalang suspek.

Sa statement na ipinaskil sa Facebook account, sinabi ng ADMU na natanggap ng isang empleyado ang bomb threat dakong 8:30 ng umaga.

“A bomb threat was received by the University at around 8:30 a.m. today. The Security office immediately requested the Explosive Ordnance Disposal and QC Station 9 bomb squads to send units to sweep the grounds and buildings. At the moment a thorough inspection is being conducted. All building have been evacuated,” post ng ADMU sa Facebook.

“Classes in all levels are cancelled starting 10 a.m. All LS students and employees may leave the campus.”

Agad na humingi ng tulong ang security office ng unibersidad sa Quezon City Police District (QCPD)-Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team at Anonas Police Station 9 na sumuyod sa ilang lugar sa school campus subalit walang natagpuang bomba.

“Ang gusto ng school administration ay ma-funnel ang buong area. Nag-request na rin kami ng tulong sa NCR Joint Task Force ng additional K-9 units para sa bagay na ito,” ayon kay Chief Insp. Mario Cruz Manahan, hepe ng QCPD Tactical Operations Center. (Francis T. Wakefield)
