“The vandals who wrote a revisionist slogan at the People Power Monument are inviting the justified anger of our Bosses — the Filipino people — who stood in unison on EDSA to defy the dictators’ armed forces and assert determination to restore democracy in our beloved country,” sinabi ni Presidential Communications Operations Secretary Herminio Coloma, Jr.

“The Monument stands as a symbol of our people’s triumph over a Dictatorship that distorted the rule of law, and employed violence to impose its own political beliefs on an entire nation,” saad sa pahayag ng komisyon nitong Martes. “This act of vandalism hence is an affront against all Filipinos who took a stand for human rights and democracy in the 1986 People Power Revolution. It belittles their heroism and sacrifice for our country.”
