Mahigit 600 overseas Filipino workers (OFW) na nagtatrabaho sa Saudi Bin Ladin Group (SBG) sa Kingdom of Saudi of Arabia (KSA) ang nawalan ng trabaho sa pagbabawas ng manggagawa ng construction conglomerate, ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE).

Inihayag ni Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz na halos 3 porsiyento ng kabuuang bilang ng mga migrant workers ang sinibak ng SBG.

“The POLO also reported that out of an estimated 20,000 foreign worker whose services were terminated by SBG, only 634 were OFWs,” sabi ni Baldoz.

Ayon sa Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), nahaharap ngayon ang SBG sa problemang pinansiyal dahil sa “delay in government payments to its projects.” (Samuel Medenilla)
