INIHAYAG ni Cameron Mackintosh ang open call auditions sa Pilipinas para sa iba’t ibang upcoming global productions ng Miss Saigon, ang record-breaking production na muling dinudumog sa London at nakatakdang magbukas sa Broadway sa 2017. Ang auditions sa Manila ay pamamahalaan ni Bobby Garcia at ng Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group (ATEG) sa Opera Haus.

“Miss Saigon’s producing and creative team will be flying in from London to hold auditions for various upcoming global productions of the hit musical. I look forward to working with them in discovering a new generation of Filipino talent to shine on the international stage in Miss Saigon the way Lea Salonga, Leo Valdez, JonJon Briones, Joanna Ampil and Rachelle Ann Go, among many others, have in the past,” sabi ni Bobby Garcia na siya ring associate director ng Miss Saigon.

“We are searching for Kim, The Engineer, Thuy, Gigi and all Asian roles in the musical. We are looking for leads and ensemble, as well as acrobatic dancers. We encourage performers throughout the Asian region to come to Manila and audition for Miss Saigon,” dagdag pa niya.

Lahat ng applicants ay kailangang 16 - 40 years old at may strong singing voices (all vocal ranges) at bihasa sa wikang English. Mas makatutulong kung may dance movement experience. For registration, magdala ng photo and CV.  

For auditions, maghanda ng 16 bars ng isang awitin sa Miss Saigon (may pianist na aakumpanya sa auditions). Maaari ring magdala ng sarili ninyong music scores o CD.

Ang registration dates ay sa March 11 at 12 simula 10 AM hanggang 6 PM sa Opera Haus, 3657 Bautista Street (malapit sa kanto ng Buendia), Makati City. Ang auditions ay magaganap sa March 15 at 16 mula 10 AM hanggang 7 PM sa Opera Haus pa rin.

Our teams have been returning regularly ever since. Filipino artists are the heart and soul of this show.”
