Umapela si Rep. Win Gatchalian kay Pangulong Benigno Aquino III nitong Huwebes na huwag ibasura ang panukalang naghahati sa Department of Transportation and Communications (DoTC) sa dalawang ahensiya.
Sa ilalim ng panukala, babaguhin ang pangalan ng DoTC at gagawin itong Department of Transportation at lilikha ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), ililipat dito ang communications functions ng kasalukuyang DoTC.
Binanggit ni Gatchalian ang Senate Bill No. 2686 at House Bill No. 6198, kapwa pinamagatang “Department of Information and Communications Technology Act of 2015.”

President Aquino should sign this proposed law as soon as the measure is transmitted. The DoTC is too big for one person to manage.
