Ang tubong Digos, Davao del Sur ay may averaged na fourth best 17.33 points, fifth-best 11 rebounds, second-best 5.56 assists at second-best 2.11 steals upang tanghaling pinakamahusay individual player sa 10 mga laro sa Season 90.
Subalit sinabi ni Thompson na ang kanyang prayoridad ay ang tulungan ang Altas na magwagi sa kanilang unang NCAA championship.
“I’m focused on helping my school win an NCAA title, nothing more,” saad ni Thompson.

Pinangunahan naman ni La Salle-Greenhills’ John Gob ang juniors MVP race na taglay ang 56.89 points matapos na magposte ng nakalululang 15.11 points, 17.33 boards at 2.22 blocks kada laro.
Banta naman sa MVP bid ni Gob sina Mapua’s Dennel Aguirre, Perpetual Help’s Jeszir Sison, Mapua’s Noah Lugo at Jose Rizal’s Mark dela Virgen na mayroong MVP stats points na 51, 46.38, 45.78 and 45.33, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
Nakisalo rin sa top 10 sa high school MVP hunt sina Letran’s Joshua Gonzales (43.78), Jose Rizal’s Jamil Garcia (42.78), Letran’s Jerrick Balanza (42) at San Beda’s Niko Abatayo (41.67) at Joshua Andrei Caracut (41.33).
