Bumaba pa sa 2.8% ang inflation rate sa bansa nitong Enero 2024 mula sa 3.9% na datos noong Disyembre 2023, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) nitong Martes, Pebrero 6.

Sa tala ng PSA, ang naturang pagbaba ng inflation noong nakaraang buwan ang naging pinakamababa raw simula sa 2.3% na inflation rate noong Oktubre 2020.

Noong Disyembre 2023, nasa 3.9% ang naitalang inflation rate, habang noong Enero 2023, ito ay nasa 8.7%.

“The downtrend in the overall inflation in January 2024 was primarily brought about by the slower annual increment of food and non-alcoholic beverages at 3.5 percent in January 2024 from 5.4 percent in the previous month,” anang PSA.

“Also contributing to the downtrend was housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels with slower annual increase of 0.7 percent during the month from 1.5 percent in December 2023,” dagdag nito.
