2 Nat’l Jr. record naitala ni Mojdeh; Swim Pinas, humakot sa PSI Grand Prix
HINDI lang isa, bagkus dalawang ulit na binura – sa loob ng isang araw -- ni swimming phenom Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ang Philippine Junior National Record sa 100-meter butterfly sa impresibong kampanya para pangunahan ang Swim Pinas sa matikas na ratsada sa 2019 PSI Long Course Grand-Prix National Championships nitong weekend sa makasaysayang Rizal Memorial Swimming Center sa Manila.
Tumapos ang Swim Pinas, binubuo ng mga elite swimmers ng Philippine Swimming League (PSL) ng namayapang coach Susan Papa, sa first runner-up overall team competition tangan ang kabuuang 24 ginto, 15 silver at 11 bronze medal, sa likod ng kampeong Harpoon.
Pinatunayan ng 13-anyos na si Mojdeh, incoming high school sa Brent International ang pagiging top junior swimmer sa kasalukuyan, nang pagwagihan ang paboritong event sa girls 13-under class sa bagong marka na isang minuto at 04.08 segundo.
Bago ang medal swim, nalagpasan niya ang dating marka (1:04.74) sa qualifying time na 1:04.72. Bunsod nito, nakuha niya ang ‘Female Highest Fina Points Award’ sa 11-13 yrs. old age group category tangan ang 649 Fina points.
Nasundan ang tagumpay ni Mojdeh sa isa pang bagong record-breaking win sa 200-meter butterfly Open Finals sa tyempong 2:21.14, halos isang minuto ang bilis sa dating marka na 2:22.69.
Sa tatlong araw na kompetisyon – bahagi ng national tryouts para sa pagpili ng National Team members na isasalang sa 30th Southeast Asian Games sa Manila sa Nobyembre – nakakolekta ang pambato ng Paranaque ng kabuuang anim na ginto, isang silver at 2 bronze sa kanyang age group class kabilang ang dalawang ginto, tatlong silver at isang bronze sa Open Finals.
“Her new record is also the fifth fastest time among all female swimmers in this event, giving her fighting chance in making it to the SEA Games team this year,” pahayag ng ina Mojdeh na si Joan, tumatayo ring team manager ng grupo.

“Hindi lang si Jasmine, talagang maganda ang performance ng team. Considering na ito ang una naming sabak sa PSI competition, malaking bagay ito sa mga swimmers. Maraming salamat po sa aming mga coach na sina Alexandre Papa ng PSI, Marlon Dula, coach Cris at coach Qkw Swimmingteam,” aniya.
Ang Swim Pinas ay binubuo ng mga elite swimmers ng Philippine Swimming League (PSL) ng namayapang si coach Susan Papa, sa pagtataguyod ng TYR Philippines, The Victoria Sports Club at Behrouz Persian Cuisine.

Nakuha rin ni Marcus ang Male Highest Fina Points sa 14-15 age group tangan ang 603 Fina Points mula sa napagwagihang tatlong ginto at isang bronze sa age category at isang ginto at dalawang bronze sa Open Finals. Tinanghal namang Male Highest Fina Points award sa 11-13 age group category si Parto tangan ang walong ginto at tatlong silver.
