Pag-ibig at kapayapaan ang sentro ng mensahe nina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at Vice President Leni Robredo sa pagdiriwang ng mga Muslim ng Eid’l Fitr, ngayong Hunyo 5.

Sa kanyang mensahe, hinikayat ng Pangulo ang mga Pilipinong Muslim na gamitin ang opurtunidad na ipagpatuloy ang pagiging instrumento ng pag-ibig.

Binigyang-diin din ni Duterte ang okasyon Eid’l Fitr bilang okasyon na nagbibigkis sa komunidad ng mga Muslim.

"The entire Filipino nation joins them as they offer prayers of praise and thanksgiving as well as demonstrate the virtues of Islamic faith in accordance with the teachings of Allah through the Quran," aniya.

Hiniling din ng Pangulo sa mga Pilipinong Muslim na gunitain ang Eid'l Fitr bilang panahon ng repleksiyon, kalinawagan at pagbuhay sa pangako ng mas malakas na debosyon sa Diyos.

"Take this opportunity to deepen your role as instruments of love, sacrifice, respect and selfless service and may each of you remain our government's partner in promoting peace and understanding among Filipinos from all walks of life," ani Duterte.

Sa kanyang paunang mensahe ng pagbati, hinikayat ng Pangulo ang mga Pilipinong Muslim na gamitin ang kanilang lakas para sa pagpapaunlad pagkakaisa sa bansa.

"Let us channel our energies towards fostering national unity--because dedicating our lives to the betterment of humanity is the best way to demonstrate our devotion to God," ani pa ni Duterte.

Pag-asa ng pagkamit sa kapayapaan sa Mindanao at lubusang pagbangon naman ang dalangin ni Vice President Robredo, sa pagdiriwang ng bansa ng pagtatapos ng Ramadam.

“We pray for our brothers and sisters from Marawi, who are still suffering and unable to return to their homes for two years now since the siege,” pahayag ng Bise Presidente.

“We continue to pray for peace in the Bangsamoro region, especially as it transitions into a new era,” dagdag pa niya.

Sa okasyon, binanggit din niya ang Islamic values at selflessness na ipinakita ng komunidad ng mga Muslim.

“As we mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, may this be a time to reflect on the values that are deeply embedded in the fabric of your culture - your value for selfless sacrifice, your genuine compassion for others, and your spirit of generosity,” saad pa ni Robredo. “You serve as great examples to the rest of the nation of how we embody hope by feeding the hungry, clothing the homeless, and comforting the orphaned.”
