MAGSASAGAWA si Asia’s First Grandmaster Eugene Torre ng twenty (20) boards simultaneous chess exhibition para hamunin ang mga Gumaca chess players sa torneo na may temang “Welcome Back, 1975-2018” sa Oktubre 27 sa Development Training Center tapat ng Gumaca Convention Center sa Gumaca, Quezon.
“We do this to promote chess in the grassroots level,” sabi ni tournament organizer Janglie V. Lita ng Gumaca Chess Club.
“We also believe that by encouraging the youth to actively participate in sports like chess will keep them away from drugs,” aniya.
Ang torneong ito ay sinuportahan ng LGU Gumaca mula sa initiative nina Mayor Erwin P. Caralian, Vice Mayor Elchor P. Caralian at ng Sanguniang Bayan ng Gumaca.
