NEW YORK (AP) — Walang Roger Federer sa US Open finals.

Nabigo ang world No.2 na makausad sa laban nang gapiin ni John Millman sa fourth round, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (3), nitong Martes sa Arthur Ash Stadium.

“Was just one of those nights where, I guess, I felt I couldn’t get air. There was no circulation at all. I don’t know, for some reason I just struggled in the conditions tonight. It’s one of the first times it’s happened to me,” pahayag ng 37 anyos na si Federer, nagtamo ng 10 double fault.

Ito ang ikalawang pagkakataon sa nakalipas na 14 na US Open na nabigo si Federer na makaabot sa quarterfinals. Tangan ni Federer ang record 20 Grand Slam title, kabilang ang limang US Open.

Goodbye PBA? John Amores, tinanggalan na ng professional license!

“In all honesty, Roger’s a hero of mine. I look up to him,” sambit ni Millman.

“I felt a little bit guilty today, because he didn’t have his best day, and that’s for sure. I know that. I’m very aware he didn’t have a great day in the office. Probably, to beat him, I needed him to have an off-day and I needed to have a decent, good day.”
