Ipinababasura ni Senador Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian ang plano ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ng drug test sa mga estudyante, at sa halip ay ilaan ang pondo para sa pagkuha ng dagdag na guidance counselors sa Department of Education (DepEd).

Aniya, kung 14 milyon ang estudyate mula Grade 4 hanggang Grade 12, sa P200 gastos sa drug testing aabot ito sa P2.8 bilyon, na puwedeng pagdagdag na pondo para sa guidance counselors.

“I would rather have more guidance counselors who will steer young students away from drug use by encouraging them to succeed in academics, sports, the arts, and other wholesome activities,” punto ni Gatchalian.
