TATANGKAIN ni Roberto Suelo Jr. na makopo ang coveted International Master title sa mga torneo sa Singapore at Malaysia bago matapos ang taong kasalukuyan.
Naka-proseso na ang Fide Master (FM) title ni Suelo habang nakamit na n din ang online Arena Grandmaster (AGM) title, at inaasahan mapapalaban ng husto sa mga bigating makakatungali sa nalalapit niyang mga torneo.
“I have to learn to beat stronger players to get the coveted International Master title.” sabi ni Suelo na nag courtesy call kay Mandaluyong City ABC president at Barangay Malamig chairman Marlon Manalo nitong Martes.
“I have no doubt that (Roberto) Suelo will get his full pledge IM title in the near future,” ani naman ni Marlon Manalo, former world snooker at billiard champion at League of Barangays National PRO.

Ang 1996 Philippine Junior Champion at former top player ng Barangay Malamig, Rizal Technological University Chess Team sa Mandaluyong City ay nanaig kay national coach Fide Master at International Master candidate Roel Abelgas sa kanilang one game playoff match para makausad sa finals ng National Chess Championships na pinagharian naman ni defending champion Haridas Pascua ng Baguio City.
Mas kilala sa tawag na “Nonoy” sa chess world, sasabak si Suelo sa 41st Queenstown Chess Club Championship sa Hunyo 24, 2018 na gaganapin sa Queenstown Chess Club sa Singapore
