“The Department of Education (DepEd) extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of a learner from Taguig City who tragically lost his life in light of a personal and sensitive incident,” saad ng DepEd sa kanilang pahayag nitong Martes, Marso 10.
“In response, DepEd promptly mobilized its mental health crisis response mechanisms. Members of the Executive Committee (ExeCom) personally visited the school to closely monitor the situation and ensure that immediate support was readily provided to the school community,” saad ng DepEd.
“DepEd has likewise coordinated with the concerned field office to gather additional information and determine the appropriate assistance that can be extended by it,” dagdag pa nito.
“The Office of Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, together with local authorities, has also extended the necessary assistance and support to those affected,” ani DepEd.
“DepEd recognizes that this incident is a sensitive issue and underscores the importance of providing timely interventions for learners and teachers who may be experiencing mental health challenges,” saad ng DepEd.
“While DepEd will not provide specific details of the incident as respect to the grieving family of the learner, rest assured that the Department remains committed to strengthening and implementing mental health programs to ensure that our schools remain safe and supportive environments for our learners,” panawagan ng ahensya.
“In this regard, DepEd also urges the public to respect the privacy of the individuals involved and the school community during this difficult time,” dagdag pa nito.
“The entire Schools Division of Taguig City and Pateros mourns the loss of our dearly departed learner of Kapt. Jose Cardones Integrated School. The sudden loss of life in a tragic way has shaken our core. Our sincerest sympathies to the bereaved family,” pakikiramay ng Taguig City at Pateros SDO.
“Rest assured that SDO TAPAT has been closely coordinating with LGU Taguig City, DepEd, NCR, and the Central Office on intervention programs, such as Psychological First Aid for learners, teachers, and non-teaching personnel of the concerned school,” tugon ng SDO.
“The office also commits to intensify its efforts to closely monitor all schools and carry out preventive measures so that this tragic incident does not happen again, with the support of our partners,” dagdag pa nito.
