Ni Jonathan M. Hicap

Humakot ng 23 medalya ang mga Pilipinong mag-aaral sa elementarya sa 14th International Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Primary School (IMSO) sa Singapore nitong Nobyembre 20-24.

Inihayag ng delegation head na si Dr. Isidro Aguilar, pangulo ng Mathematics Trainers Guild Philippines (MTG), na nag-uwi ang Philippine team ng dalawang gold, limang silver at apat na bronze na medalya sa math division, at walong silver at apat na bronze medals sa science, na tumalo sa iba pang mga kinatawan sa 20 bansa.

Sa math, gintong medalya ang iniuwi nina Christopher James Yap, ng St. John’s Institute; at Alvann Walter Paredes Dy, ng St. Jude Catholic School.

Silver naman ang nasungkit sa math at science nina Cris Lorraine Dela Cruz, ng Bolinao Integrated School; Armea Helena Sien Dimayacyac, Notre Dame of Greater Manila; Walsh Nico Adrian Letran, St. Jude Catholic School; John David Magnaye, Holy Rosary Academy ng Las Piñas City; Ambrose James Torreon, Rainbow of Angels Learning Center-Butuan; Dillon Keller Chan, UNO High School; Katrina Isabelle Dela Rama, Integrated Montessori Center-Taguig; John Florence Dizon, Calamba Elementary School; Juan Rafael Landicho, Stonyhurst Southville International School; Jaime Iñigo Rojo, Special Education Center for the Gifted-Kalayaan; Hans Ethan Ting, Rainbow of Angels Learning Center; Ziron John Valaquio, SPED Integrated School for Exceptional Children; at Chantal Paige Vargas, Ateneo de Zamboanga University.

Bronze medallists naman sina Kei Hang Derek Chan, ng St. Jude Catholic School; Krystal Lim Tiong Soon, Grace Christian College; Mayah Christine Lim, Notre Dame of Greater Manila; Angelene Erika Madrazo, Zamboanga Chong Hua High School; Sophia Monique Chan, Zamboanga Chong Hua High School; Marie Emmanuelle Martinez, University of the Philippines (UP) Integrated School; Tristan Mora, Bagong Tanyag Elementary School; at Isabella Marie Reyes, De La Salle University Integrated School.
