Ni Jonathan M. Hicap

Humakot ng 23 medalya ang mga Pilipinong mag-aaral sa elementarya sa 14th International Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Primary School (IMSO) sa Singapore nitong Nobyembre 20-24.

Inihayag ng delegation head na si Dr. Isidro Aguilar, pangulo ng Mathematics Trainers Guild Philippines (MTG), na nag-uwi ang Philippine team ng dalawang gold, limang silver at apat na bronze na medalya sa math division, at walong silver at apat na bronze medals sa science, na tumalo sa iba pang mga kinatawan sa 20 bansa.

Sa math, gintong medalya ang iniuwi nina Christopher James Yap, ng St. John’s Institute; at Alvann Walter Paredes Dy, ng St. Jude Catholic School.
