Iginiit kahapon ni House Appropriations Committee Chairman at Davao City Congressman Karlo Alexei Nograles na taliwas sa mga alegasyon ni Senador Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, walang nakasingit na pork barrel sa inaprubahang P3.767 trilyong national budget para sa 2018.
“I reiterate my position that the national budget is and will be free of any pork barrel,” diin ni Nograles.
Ayon kay Nograles, istriktong sumusunod ang Kongreso sa desisyon ng Supreme Court na labag sa batas ang pork barrel funds.

“Walang ganyan sa budget dahil lahat ng mga programs itemized and specifically defined and described in the budget book. The budget process and deliberations have been very transparent and the budget book is open to everyone’s scrutiny,” aniya.
