Isusumite na kay Pangulong Duterte sa Lunes ang bagong draft ng Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) para mabusisi niya, sinabi kahapon ni Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza.
Sinabi ni Dureza na irerekomenda niya sa Pangulo na sertipikahan bilang urgent ang panukalang hakbangin upang maipasa agad sa Kongreso.
Ang dokumento ay ilang buwang binuo at kinumpleto ng Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC), na binubuo ng mga kinatawan ng pamahalaan, ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) at ng Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).

“The turnover of the output of the BTC will happen at 5:30 in the afternoon of July 17 here in the Palace. The BTC will turnover to the President the copy of their work that had been done over the past few months,” sabi ni Dureza sa news conference sa Palasyo. “We are confident that the BTC that crafted the new one must have taken into account the failures of the past, learning from the past lessons,” sabi niya.
Ayon kay Dureza, maaaring rebyuhin at magbigay ng inputs ang Pangulo sa draft ng BBL o ipadala na ang panukala sa Kongreso upang talakayin sa deliberasyon.
Layunin ng hakbangin na lumikha ng bagong autonomous entity na tatawaging Bangsamoro, na mas malawak ang teritoryo at kapangyarihan kapalit ng Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
