HUWAG nang payuhan si Tom Cruise na magpahinga – dahil sinabi ng action movie star na mas mainam gumawa ng mga pelikula kaysa magbakasyon.
Nagbabalik si Tom, 54, kilala sa paggawa ng karamihan sa kanyang sariling stunts, sa mga sinehan ngayong linggo sa adventure na The Mummy, ang latest reboot ng ancient Egyptian-inspired horror film series na unang napanood noong 1932.
Sa Setyembre, magiging busy rin siya sa promosyon ng American Made, isang crime thriller tungkol sa isang drug runner noong 1980s. Ginagawa rin niya ngayon ang Mission: Impossible 6 at nasa pre-production na rin ang long-awaited sequel sa 1986 fighter pilot movie na Top Gun na nagpasikat sa kanya sa buong mundo.

“I just love movies period and I love to entertain an audience. And I give it everything that I possibly can and I never take anything for granted,” sabi ni Tom nitong Miyerkules sa New York red carpet premiere ng The Mummy.
“Some people say, don’t you want a vacation? It’s like for me making films is a vacation because I love doing it,” aniya.
Ang bago, stunt-packed na The Mummy, magbubukas sa buong mundo ngayong linggo, ay nagsasalaysay sa kuwento ng isang ancient princess na ginising sa kanyang libingan ay nagpakawala ng mga sakuna sa modernong mundo.
“We pay homage to all (the other movies), but really its roots stem from that 1932 film in terms of classic composition and somewhat of the tone.
“The film does have a tremendous amount of adventure but it has great scares also. It has some humor in it and romance. But definitely, in all of these monsters were going to pay our respects to the original monster films,” ani Cruise. (Reuters)
