Naitayo ang bagong pundasyon para sa sports development program sa pagkakaisa ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at 14 na collegiate league sa isinagawang Intersection Meeting nitong Martes sa Diamond Hotel.
“This is just one sector that we really want to tap not just for the Philippine Sports Institute but also to harmonize and synchronize their program with that of the national. Gusto natin na kasabay sila sa pagpapalakas ng ating programa sa sports sa buong bansa at matulungan din ang kanilang liga pati na kanilang mga alteta,” sabi ni PSC Chairman William Ramirez.
Ang mga dumalo sa pagpupulong ay ang Association of Local Colleges and Universities (ALCU), Baguio Benguet
Educational Athletic League (BBEAL), Cebu Schools Athletic Foundations, Inc. (CESAFI), Davao Association of Catholic Schools (DACS) at Davao City Collegiate League (DCCL).
Dumating din ang kinatawana ng National Athletic Association of Colleges and Universities (NAASCU), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), National Collegiate Athletic Association –South (NCAA-South) , Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA), State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA), University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), Philippine University Games (UNIGames) at Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA).
