Hindi kailangang hintayin pa ng Department of Transportation (DoTr) ang pagkakaroon ng emergency powers upang maresolba ang krisis sa trapiko.
“I think that the DoTr under Secretary Arthur Tugade should take the initiative instead of waiting for the approval of the emergency powers for the president. We are already in a crisis situation. The traffic situation in Metro Manila is getting really worse and there are other means which can be done to address the problem without the need for any emergency powers, “ ayon kay Iloilo City Rep. Jerry Treñas.
Sinabi ni Treñas na sinisikap ng Kamara na bilisan ang pagpapatibay sa panukalang emergency powers para kay President Duterte, pero dahil bubuno pa ito ng ilang, kailangan na umanong kumilos ang DoTr. (Bert de Guzman)
