HANOI, Vietnam (AP) – Sumumpa ang prime minister ng Vietnam na dedepensahan ang soberanya ng bansa sa South China Sea matapos muling mahalal sa National Assembly.
Sa kanyang acceptance speech, nanawagan si Nguyen Xuan Phuc sa lahat ng partido na respetuhin at sundin ang international law at huwag nang palalain ang sitwasyon.
“We must resolutely and firmly defend our independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, be determined to defend Vietnam’s sovereignty in the East Sea and call on parties to respect and comply with international law and not to further complicate the situation,” sabi ni Phuc, na ang tinutukoy ay ang South China Sea sa Vietnamese term.
