Matapos sumailalim sa hospital arrest ng halos tatlong taon dahil sa pagkakasangkot umano sa multi-milyong pisong fertilizer fund scam, pinayagan na ng Sandiganbayan Second Division si Lanao del Norte Rep. Abdullah Dimaporo na makapagpiyansa.
Sa apat na pahinang resolusyon na may petsang Marso 10, pinayagan ng Second Division ang akusado na makapagpiyansa base sa desisyon ng Korte Suprema na inilabas noong Disyembre 8, 2015, na nagpapahintulot kay dating Bacolod City Mayor Luzviminda Valdez na makapaglagak din ng piyansa sa kabila ng kinahaharap nito na kasong malversation through falsification of public documents.
“In precise and in no uncertain terms, it has expressly ruled that an accused charged with the complex crime of Malversation of Public Funds thru Falsification of Official/Public Documents that involves an amount in excess of P22,000.00 is entitled to bail as a matter of right, [and] a summary hearing on bail application is, therefore, unnecessary,” saad sa resolusyon na isinulat ni Fourth Division Chairperson Teresita Diaz-Baldos at kinatigan nina Associate Justices Napoleon Inoturan at Ma. Cristina Cornejo.
Nagpiyansa si Dimaporo ng P200,000 para sa bawat bilang ng malversation case.

Napag-alaman na ilang beses nang ibinasura ang mga unang hiling ni Dimaporo na makapagpiyansa.
Si Dimaporo ay naka-hospital arrest sa Cardinal Santos Medical Center sa Quezon City matapos isangkot sa mga P5-milyon ghost project na may kaugnayan sa fertilizer fund scam. (Jeffrey G. Damicog)
