Maaaring may awtoridad ang app-based ride-hailing company na Grab para magpatakbo ng mga kotse ngunit hindi ng mga jeep at motorsiklo, sinabi ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), nitong Huwebes.
Ito ang ipinahayag ni LTFRB board member Atty. Ariel Inton matapos ipakilala ng Grab nitong linggo ang libreng jeepney service na GrabJeep na tatakbo sa loob ng dalawang buwan.
Sinabi ni Inton na ang Board ay nakatakda ring mag-isyu ng cease and desist order sa GrabJeep tulad ng ginawa nito sa motorcycle service na GrabBike.
“Aside from GrabBike, GrabJeep is also subjected to cease and desist because there is no department order that specifies them to operate motorcycles or jeepneys,” pahayag ni Inton. (PNA)
