Batid na ni WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao kung paano papasukin ang depensa ni WBC/WBA 147 pounds titlist Floyd Mayweather Jr. kayat kumpiyansa siya na tatalunin niya ito sa kanilang sagupaan sa Mayo 2 sa MGM Grand sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kasalukuyang nasa mahigpit na pagsasanay si Pacquiao sa ilalim ni Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach sa Wild Card Gym sa Hollywood, California at pinag-aaralan nilang mabuti kung paano mawawasak ang ipinagmamalaking depensa ni Mayweather.

“If it’s defense he will be relying on when we face each other, I can say this early that I’m ready to meet him in that department. We’ve actually been figuring out how we can penetrate the defensive blanket that Floyd will throw at me since we opened camp in General Santos two or three weeks ago. I think we already have an idea of what offensive maneuvers we will utilize,” sabi ni Pacquiao sa Philboxing.com. “As I have been saying since we opened camp, we will be concentrating on finding the flaws in his defense. I think we’ve discovered a lot.”

Para naman kay Roach, mahina ang kaisipan ni Mayweather kaya idinadaan nito sa pagyayabang ang lahat ng bagay para mapansin ng boxing fans.

“I want to get inside his head a little bit,” pahayag ni Roach sa New York Magazine. “He’s not a secure person. He’s very fragile. He’s really insecure. You can tell by the way he lives. The money, the cars, the houses. I’ve seen that before in boxing. He’s on the road to disaster.”

Iginiit din ng 2014 Trainer of the Year na hindi si Pacquiao ang takot sa dugo kundi ang hambog na Amerikano.

“Mayweather is bothered by blood,” ani Roach. “I don’t know if Manny will be willing [to purposefully instigate a cut], but accidents do happen.”
