“There are a number of very interesting fights for Juan, but I insist that there is one opponent who I wouldn’t want [for Marquez] again - Manny Pacquiao,” sinabi ni Beristain sa notifight.com. “I do not like that fight, And it is not about money. You don’t think [if it was about money] that I would sympathize [with everyone who wants to do a] fifth fight between them, because of the income that I could get? But it is much more than that.”
“I do not sympathize [with those who want a] fifth fight between them because of the damage they can do. The four bouts have been grueling, bitter, and a fifth battle would be no exception,” giit ni Beristain. “Juan Manuel is not going to be [fighting] for much longer, and ideally I would like for him to retire with his health intact......to enjoy his family, and take another path other than training and boxing. He has the right to enjoy his money and his family.”
“Another fight between Pacquiao and Juan would be another hellish encounter. It is better for them not to meet again in the ring. Of course, if they offer that fight, it is Juan who ultimately decides,” dagdag ng trainer. “He will know what course of action to take if a fight [offer to face Pacquiao] is looking more concrete.”
