Nasa ₱14.2 milyong halaga ng marijuana ang sinunog ng pulisya at ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa sunud-sunod na operasyon sa magkakahiwalay na lugar sa Cordillera region kamakailan.
Sa pahayag ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin, Jr., ang anti-drug operations ay isinagawa sa loob ng 17 araw mula Nobyembre 13 hanggang Nobyembre 30.
"We scored big anew in the campaign against illegal drugs. The confiscation and eradication of these illegal plants in various areas around Cordillera region is a reflection of our intensified operations to destroy the supply chain of this illicit activity,” ani Azurin.
Aniya, malaki ang naging papel ng komunidad sa kampanya ng mga awtoridad laban sa illegal na droga sa rehiyon.

“They provided the police with enough information so we can better track the movement of those who are engaged in this illegal business,” dagdag pa nito.
Tinutugis pa ng pulisya ang mga may-ari ng mga plantasyon ng marijuana upang panagutin sa batas.
