Kasunod ng reklamo ng isang netizen, nanawagan ang Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) sa mga retailer at bangko na dapat pa ring tanggapin ang mga natuping pera, papel man o 'yong bagong labas na polymer. 

Matatandaan na nag-viral ang Facebook post ng isang netizen na nagrereklamo dahil hindi umano tinatanggap ng isang mall ang natuping bagong P1,000 bill.Ayon sa netizen, hindi raw sila naabisuhan na may ganoong patakaran.

"The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) informs the public that folded banknotes, whether paper or polymer, can still be circulated and accepted for payment. As such, retailers and banks should accept them for day-to-day payment transactions," paglilinaw ng BSP nitong Lunes, Hulyo 11.

"If an individual is doubtful on the value and/or authenticity of a banknote, he or she is encouraged to go to any bank for assistance. The bank will then refer the banknote to the BSP for examination," dagdag pa nito.
