Inihayag na ng ABS-CBN na ang napiling bagong direktor para sa 'Darna: TV Series' ng Kapamilya Network ay walang iba kundi ang batikan at premyadong direktor na si Chito S. Roño.

"ABS-CBN's television adaptation of the iconic Filipino superheroine marks the TV comeback of the master director, who is also behind previous hit Kapamilya series 'Imortal,' 'Lastikman,' and 'Spirits'.

Ito umano ang pagbabalik-telebisyon ni Chito S. Roño, na magsisimula na ang lock-in taping sa Nobyembre. Ito umano ang magiging pinakamalaking proyekto ng batikang direktor sa 2022.
Matatandaang nag-back out sa proyektong ito ang direktor na si Jerrold Tarog (direktor ng Heneral Luna at Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral) dahil sa 'scheduling conflicts'.
