IPINAGKALOOB ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) ang ‘provisional recognition’ sa Philippine National Volleyball Federation, Inc. (PNVF) nitong Enero 27, sa kabila ng kawalan ng Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registration na isang ‘basic requirement’ na nakasaad sa Constitutuion and By-Laws ng Olympic body.

Ayon kay Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF) president Edgardo ‘Tito Boy’ Cantada, kamakailan lamang nag-apply ng SEC registration ang PNVF at sa dokumentong nakuha ng asosasyon, nitong Marso 3 lamang tinanggap ng SEC ang naturang aplikasyon.

“A very questionable act since it is a basic requirement found in the POC constitution and by-laws that an NSA to be extended recognition should be SEC registered. In the absence of such registration, the PNVF is considered legally non-existent,” pahayag ni Cantada.

“To make matters worse, the PNVF was proposed membership in the FIVB as the duly recognized federation representing the Philippines in the 37th FIVB World Congress held on February 7, 2021. Again, a SEC registration is required. This basic requirement is also found in the constitution and by-laws of the FIVB. It was approved by the General Assembly. Irregardless, whether there was misrepresentation or non-disclosure. The absence of the basic SEC registration deems the recognition by both the POC and FIVB “NULL AND VOID”,” sambit ni Cantada.

Hindi nakilahok ang PVF sa naturang election na inilarawan ni Cantada na ‘moro-moro’.

“PVF president, Edgardo “Tito Boy” Cantada and son, Gerard turned down the chairmanship and vice-presidency of the “unified” PNVF in POC’s “unification” efforts because of reasons that don’t align with their valued principles,” ayon kay Cantada.

Ayon kay Cantada ipinarating na umano niya ang kaganapan sa FIVB.
